内容紹介

“KOKO”は、ハワイ語で「赤」。1枚目のアルバム”’Ula”と同じ「赤」ですが、 今回は“血液の赤” いのちをつなぐあたたかな色。 家族や大切な人、そしてそれぞれの祖先へと続いていく“つながり”の色です。 今回のアルバムにはその「つながり」から生まれた12曲、それぞれに物語や祈りが宿っています。 2024年にPOMAに加入した児玉陵(Gt.)、北村規夫（Ba.）を入れた、4人編成で初めて作り上げた作品でもあります。 そして、アルバムジャケットとブックレットを飾るのは、Yumiの長男Yuukiが描いた8枚の “家族” をテーマにした絵。 POMAが描く“家族のつながり”をアルバムを通して感じていただけたら嬉しいです。 皆さんの心に、温かく寄り添える音楽でありますことを願っています。

KOKO means “red” in Hawaiian. Like POMA’s debut album, ‘Ula, it shares the same color, but this time it represents the red of blood—the warmth of life and the bonds that connect generations.

Inspired by family, loved ones, and ancestral ties, the album’s twelve songs each carry their own story and prayer. KOKO is also POMA’s first album created as a four-piece band, featuring guitarist Riku Kodama and bassist Norio Kitamura.

The album artwork and booklet feature family-themed illustrations by Yumi’s eldest son, Yuuki. Through this album, POMA hopes to share the warmth of family, the beauty of connection, and the stories that live on through generations.
